Geir Kristian Breivik of Oslo, Norway has played with many of Norway’s most famous artists, and played on several major broadway style shows over the last 15 years. He is also a credited music producer, and holds a masters in electric bass performance from the University of Agder, Norway.

Describe your rig or instrument of choice. I try to bring the most appropriate instruments for the gig. More often than not, it means my walnut Spector NS-2 and my heavily modified "Frankenstein" Jazz bass, which has taken me 10 years to perfect. The final icing on the cake was the new Big J-blades, which are simply the best "J" pickups I’ve ever heard.

How did you discover Nordstrand?  I have been using Nordstrands for 5 years. I wanted a replacement pickup for my `99 MusicMan Stingray 5, and started looking online. I ended up with the Nordstrand MM 5.3 (custom order) which totally transformed the bass, and brought it to life.

What Nordstrand products do you use? Big J-Blades, MM 5.3 and soon I’ll get a NP4a as well.

Artists whom with you are currently working: The bands Popzilla and Mamas Garden, in addition to various freelance gigs around the Oslo-area. I’ll also be playing the Norwegian production of "Grease" which premieres in January 2018, and a couple of smaller theater productions before then.
