    Izzy Savides is from Detroit Michigan. 

    Izzy Savides is a multi-instrumentalist and producer from Detroit, who speaks a musical language of their own. Izzy’s music is a trip through the psyche, stopping at the darkest and most emotional centers of the brain. Their music fuses neo-soul, electronica, and grunge, with dense harmonies and heavy, downtempo riffs. Izzy draws inspiration from artists like Caroline Rose, Fiona Apple, and Radiohead. When hearing their songs, Izzy wants their listeners to feel absorbed into some deeper liminal space within themselves.

    Izzy has been playing bass since they were 13 and has shared the stage with P-Funk legends Michael Hampton, Gabe Gonzalez, Garrett Shider, and Benzel Baltimore. They have also toured New England with the iconic reggae/Caribbean fusion band Dis N' Dat, opening once for the Wailers. Izzy currently studies Electronic Production and Design at Berklee College of Music in Boston, gigging frequently with local bands and with their own project.



    Describe your rig or instrument of choice: I use Nordstrand Big Singles in my Ibanez BTB1606 and in my custom Cortex fretless 6.
    My favorite amps are Orange and Ampeg, and my favorite bass model is the Ibanez BTB. Nordstrand is my pickup of choice. My pedalboard consists of a Morley Dual Bass Wah, MXR Compressor and MXR Bass Envelope, Digitech Whammy DT, OCD Overdrive, Boss PH-3 Phase Shifter, TC Electronic Chorus/Flanger, and Caverns Delay Reverb. I like the TH-U Full plugin and the Kaleidoscopes plugin and use them constantly on my bass.

    How long have you been using Nordstrand? 2 years. My favorite bass, the BTB1606, features Nordstrand Big Singles and I immediately fell in love with the sound upon playing it. I love the versatility of the Big Singles. My bass fits right into jazz just as it fits into metal. I can play anything and get any sound.
