Joe Pettengill, from Waltham, MA, began playing in 1973. He bought his first bass guitar at the age of 11 and has been an active musician ever since. Having toured the eastern seaboard throughout his career, Joe has thousands of gigs under his belt. And, has recorded with many talented musicians along the way. Joe is currently performing with the national touring act, Foreigners Journey featuring Constantine Maroulis. Even though Joe's main instrument is Bass Guitar, he is also a talented Guitarist and Keyboardist.

Describe your rig or instrument of choice: My main basses are a Lakland USA 55-AJ 5 string and a Sadowsky Custom Standard 4 string.
My rig is the Genzler Magellan 800 with a BA410-3 and BA210-3 SLT cabs.
How did you discover Nordstrand? Being a long time Sadowsky player, I was aware of the Nordstrand brand being the highest quality of pickups and instruments. I use
NJ5F pickups and
2B+ preamp. Including several Sadowsky basses with pickups made by Nordstrand, I have been using Nordstrand over 13 years.
