Mike Mennell uses Nordstrand in any and all of his basses, regardless of manufacture, and they “win every time.” Excluding his ’60 P-bass and Hofner, they’re in every bass he plays. “I have a wonderful relationship with him and his staff, and feel fortunate to have him to go to for all of my pickup and preamp needs. The best there is.”
Mike Mennell uses a special Alnico II NP4 in his 70’s Fender Precision bass.
Mike has played with Tom Jones, Kenny Loggins, Taylor Hicks, Jimmy Buffett, and currently does a lot of studio work in and around LA and is on the faculty at Musicians Institute.
