“After 10 years & 5 albums with Chevelle, one of the keys to refining my sound was to experiment with used boutique bass’s with different electronic setups & see if there were any qualities in them that could improve my tone & how it could fit in with our overall sound in the studio & on stage. Before recording our latest album -The North Corridor- my search led me to a mixture of Nordstrand pickups & their preamp electronics with my Ibanez BTB’s. My search had ended, I found my Holy grail.”
