George E. Rodgers III is a professional bassist with over 40+ years in the music business. He has toured and recorded with some well known artists, including The Commodores, Sheila Raye Charles, Stephanie Mills, The Strikers, Donald Byrd and a host of other great musicians.
George currently uses a self-customized KSD Proto J bass nicknamed “Peaches”. She is equipped with a Nordstrand 2 band Preamp. He is currently having his second handcrafted bass built by luthier Andrew Taylor-Cummings of Anaconda Basses. The new Anaconda Ultra J5 Elite Bass will have the Nordstrand NJ5 and MM 5.4 pickup configuration
George originally from Queens, N.Y now calls Tallahassee fl Home. He is a well known bassist in the area performing with local jazz and cover musicians. “I’ve used Nordstrand pickups in 2 of my basses for many years” they have the tone and clarity I desire!
