A freelance bass player, Vivian D’Souza has been exploring jazz music and its various forms since the past 1 year. He is also doing his studies in advance music under the guidance of jazz musicians like Sanjay Divecha, Karl Peters and Sonu Sangameswaran.
He has had the pleasure of sharing the stage/playing with some of the best musicians in India like Sanjay Divecha, Louiz Banks, Gino Banks, Karl Peters, Uday Benegal, Chandresh Kudwa, Floyd Fernandes and many more. He won a few polls and some regard him as too young to be playing with the big cats.

An excellent performer in both live and studio situations with a ear for detail who enjoys laying down a solid foundation for a song to be built on. In the span of 3 years he has been touring and performing with numerous artists and groups covering many genres in a wide variety of venues and music festivals across the country including international artists from USA, UK and Canada. Heavy rotation of songs played by him on MTV Indies, Vh1 and Radio channels with varied projects. He is also associated with labels like Sony Music, Universal Music, Vevo, etc.
Since the past 1 year Vivian D’Souza has been working with music producers and directors in the studio as a session bass player. He has recorded over many albums, singles, TV commercials, jingles and radio advertisements in various languages.
He admires bass players like Jaco Pastorius, Tom Kennedy, Richard Bona, Oteil Burbridge, John Patitucci, Amos Williams and Marcus Miller. His musical influences covers many genres and artists like Jeff Lorber Fusion, Pat Metheny, Fourplay, Fatburger, Dave Weckl, Chris Potter, John Scofield, Kurt Rosenwinkle, Jamiroquai, Tower Of Power, Bella Fleck and the Fleckstones, Snarky Puppy, Hiatus Kaiyote, Extreme, Karnivool, TesseracT, Skyharbor….. a never ending list.
