Arash K. Moghadam is originally from Tehran, Iran and now resides in Los Angeles, California. He has kept himself busy for 18 years in the business.
"I took up the piano when I was 12 years old, but really wanted to learn the bass, (I've been an Iron Maidenfan since I was 8). After piano I took up the electric guitar. I finally began playing the bass at 21. I played my first gig after 3 months and did my first studio recording after 5 months. Then I earned a chance to play with one of the best and high paying bands in my town (Tehran, Iran) just in 9 months."
Rig and instruments:
"I was introduced to Nordstrand in 2008, but I've been using Nordstrand product since 2014. Nordstrand Dual Coils are my favorite pickups. I use them with your 3B-4b preamp on some of my basses. With tap coil switches I can get any sound I want from these pickups. I also really like Nordstrand NP4A and NJ4SE pickups."
"Currently I play with “Strapica”, which is a progressive metal band ( we are recording our first album these days). Beside metal music I am touring with some Iranian pop legend suchas Sattar, Aref, Shahrokh, Siavash... ."
"Back in my hometown I've played with several different artists such as Farshid Arabi Band, Naser Abdollahi, Hami, Reza Sadeghi, Ehsan Khajeamiri, Mohsen Yeganeh, Saeid Shahrouz, Freydoon Asarae, and many more."
