Describe your rig and/or instrument of choice:
Im currently right now playing a Lakland 55-02 five string bass. I have it strung with D’Addario NYXL (45-130).
What Nordstrand products do you use and what do you like about them?
I have the
BigMan 5 and
Single Coil Nj5 hum cancelling Nordstrand pick-ups along with the
3b-5a preamp in my Lakland 55-02. I discovered these pickups through my friend Steve Jenkins, a fellow bassist. He had just gotten the same pickups put into his Lakland and told me get these Nords put in RIGHT AWAY. So, I took his advice because I trust him. I've been using them since February of 2017. They sound INCREDIBLE. I perform in arenas each night so I needed something that would cut through in any situation and that's exactly what these Nordstrand pickups do. Many musicians have come to see the show and I always get asked, “What type of pickups are you using for your Lakland? They sound incredible!" I'm happy to tell them that they are NORDSTRAND!
Artists whom with you are currently working: I'm currently on year 2 of a world tour with Cirque Du Soleil’s Arena Tour of “CORTEO"
Other artists of note whom with you have worked: I'm a freelance bassist. Over the years Ive been lucky enough to split my time up between New York and Orlando. I have worked with various artists and shows.
