Aaron Lecesne is an Aquarian for the current Age, a nomad without any point of origin and no particular place to go. As 1/4 of the rock n' roll powerhouse Starbenders, he presides over low-end frequencies, late-night driving, and oyster/sushi hunting while on the road. Notable attributes include a preference for sparkly things (including, but not limited to, water), frequent neurotic episodes, and a confusing duality between a terrifyingly explosive stage presence and an otherwise soft-spoken demeanor.
Hometown or residence: Atlanta, GA. I'm a native in a city of transplants.
Years playing: I've been playing various instruments for as long as I can remember. Music is as much a part of my DNA as the need to breathe.
Describe your rig or instrument of choice: I use Fender Precision Basses and Orange Amps. Nothing else ever felt quite right.
How did you discover Nordstrand? I discovered Nordstrand through our producer, Nico Constantine about three years ago. I got an NP4 to put in my P-bass a few years ago and I've been using them in every bass I've owned ever since. I have three Precision Basses which all have the NP4, and I also have a Jazz Bass for studio work that has NJ4se's in it. For me, it's all about the tone. The NP4's in particular have a 60's-era authoritative growl with a balanced sweetness that no other pickup can touch. I play rock n' roll. There's nothing complicated about it. My job is to make people move. I can't do it without Nordstrand.

I discovered Nordstrand by testing different products and trying different solutions on my basses. I literally fell in love with the definition of tone, the prominence of the harmonics and the neutrality of the pickups
