"I first met Carey at Bass Player Live a number of years ago,"said Dino,  "and I have to say the two guys that first turned me on to Carey were Rob Maganello from New Orleans and Tony Puleo, another fellow Bostonian."
"Carey is ALWAYS willing to work with you on anything you need to make something work for you." he continued. "Plus he’s a helluva bass player and composer himself so he “gets it”!  I don’t think I’ve ever heard him say 'No… we can’t do that'"
"I’m currently using Big Blades in my Lakland 55-01 with Carey’s preamp too. I just got another pair of Big Blades and preamp for my MTD 534-24 which are killing it in that bass. I’m playing a lot of rock, modern country and R&B and the Big Blades just do it for me. There’s something very natural and very organic about them.  You can make them sound modern if you want them to but they do a wonderful job of bringing out the natural qualities of the bass itself. And when turned up, they’ll rip your face off!" Dino says laughing. "Kinda like a big badass dude in a nice suit.  Very cool and appealing until you piss him off…."
